Margo found a description to the largest off-leash dog park in Portland – the Sandy River Delta park in Troutdale. So we checked it out. If there was any doubt that Luna is or is not a water dog, those doubts are put to bed. She was all into the water – first thing she did was dove in! And Bailey turned into a mud-covered mess by the time all was done.

The first of many mudpools on the way to the river.
A perfect day to ride. Full sunshine, 60 degree start, 70+ degree finish, on a ride across the two Columbia River bridges (I-205 and I-5) between Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR. Connected by the Marine Drive multipath. 48 riders participated (8 on the 10-mi, 40 on the 20-mi), including four first-time riders. At least 15 riders also took in a post-ride lunch at the waterfront, to end a great morning.

Group shot at beginning of the ride – 48 riders.
A very chilly start to the day, but continuing a dry streak of Saturdays. A total of 47 riders participated in today’s ride. 10 riders on the short 9mi loop around Jackson Bottom Wetlands in Hillsboro. The other 37 did the extra out/back to make 16 miles. We also had 4 first-time riders this week – a hearty Welcome from the group!

A perfect day for a training ride. A record 85 riders enjoyed a 12 mile ride around Sauvie Island, north of Portland. After a warmup lap, I joined the caboose riders in the rear of the pack, while taking the usual amount of pictures 🙂 Pictures on Smugmug (see above link)
