2013 Step Out Walk – and Robin Rosenberg’s Weekend

Our friend, Robin Rosenberg, came north to participate in the Portland Step Out to Stop Diabetes walk.  Joined by Margo, Luna, Roxie, Kent, Scott Fisher, and Julie Bell, it was a very pleasant 3 mile walk along the waterfront.  Bookended by a “test drive” of bicycles (!) the day before the walk, and a sampling of wine country later in the weekend, I think we provided good entertainment for Robin.

Roxie Update – August (5 months)

Roxie continues her “slow” growth curve.  Having had two males as a guide (Rusty and Casey), we’re not used to the growth curve of a female Golden.  She’s half the weight of what Rusty was at this age (5 mo), and not much better compared to Casey.  But it’s all been length – she’s getting close to Luna’s length.  Once she fills out, Luna won’t be able to bully her around as easily!  She’s handling the dog park visits very well.  Halfway through her intermediate puppy training class, she’s turning out to be a really smart (and somewhat stubborn) golden.  What a combination!
